M2M is evaluating various aspects of mentorship which will be beneficial. We are including the TedTalk from Carla Harris, VC & Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, provides keen insight into mentorship by expanding the discourse in ways you might find helpful. In her TedTalk, “How to Find the Right Person Who Can Help You Get Ahead,” she identifies two types of currency in any environment: performance currency and relationship currency.
Harris identifies sponsorship as different from mentorship. However, we will also provide insights from Stacey Abrams who identifies sponsorship as a type of mentorship. We hope these discussions will prove helpful.
